With the continuous popularization and development of network technology, many colleges and universities offer courses related to network management in computer majors, such as computer science and technology, information security and network engineering in China.Network management has become an important part of modern enterprise network and information construction. Learning the knowledge of network management helps to better understand and improve the efficiency of the operation and maintenance management of enterprise IT networks.
As an industry with a very high degree of information integration, civil aviation has high requirements for 1T network operation and management capabilities. Civil Aviation University of China has established and conducted courses on network management related courses since 2002. This book is a summary of the author's experience in the field of network management teaching for more than ten years.
Based on the principles of combination of theory and practice in which the management theory is the guidelines and hands-on practice is the basis, this book has formed a hierarchical course content system from theory to practice, to theory, to the combination of theory and practice, and finally to comprehensive practice.
The content of this book is divided into five parts, including the basic concepts of network management, the use of common network equipment, standards for network management, models and language, network management protocols and network management tools, systems and applications. The first part contains the first chapter, mainly to give readers a general understanding of network management. Starting from the rapid development of modem network technology and the challenges faced by network management, this book first briefly introduces some historical cases of management, and the network management work around us, so that readers can have an overall understanding of network management work, and gives network management definition. The second part focuses on the knowledge and skills required to install, operate, and troubleshoot common network devices in an enterprise network. It mainly includes the basics of routing, switching and security configuration, WAN connection technology, options and typical protocols, which are divided into five chapters from Chapter 2 to Chapter 6.In order to manage networks, systems and services, common management standards, modelsand frameworks are introduced in Part 3 Chapter 7 and Chapter 8. In the fourth part Chapter 9,the management communication model and the network management protocol itself, the specific ~message types used by managers and agents to communicate with each other and exchange request, response and event messages, are carefully presented. The fifth part Chapter 10 mainly introduces the common deployment methods of the network management system, the general network management system, and how to select, configure, apply or design the appropriate network management tools, systems or application in network management related work.
